Laura Weavers
Reformer & Mat Pilates Instructor
Quite quickly into Laura's Pilates career she realised she had a passion for educating people and became an instructor trainer. She completed not one but three comprehensive Pilates training programmes and now with 20 years of teaching under her belt, 15 of those being within a clinical environment her expanse of knowledge, experience and expertise guarantees you will leave her class having learned something, had fun and worked hard. Over the course of her career she has worked with a wealth of conditions such as :MS, stroke patients, athletes, amputees, mental health plus many more.
She is driven by a passion to help people feel good with and in their bodies and believes that Pilates is more than just exercise; it's a pathway to understanding your own body and how it moves. By teaching you not just the choreography of the exercises, but also the "why and how" behind them, Laura empowers you with a comprehensive toolbox of knowledge. She'll guide you to discover how to move well for life. How exciting is that?
Cool fact : While completing her Master Mentorship in Florida she concluded a 2 year case study with a young boy called Joshua, 13, a young competitive Irish dancer suffering from the long-term effects of Acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Joshua and Laura experienced the most incredible results changing the trajectory of his (and her!) life forever. She presented her findings to her mentorship group in a 30 minute video and this is something she is very proud of.
Laura doesn’t take herself or life too seriously and gives everything and everyone her full presence. Outside of teaching you can find her up a mountain with her dog or hanging out with friends and family soaking up every moment of life.
